In class, we started off by writing down why we think we won’t live as long as our parents. Some of those things included that children of today don’t eat healthy, but instead eat fast food and junk food. Theres also a high crime rate amongst teenager, where teenagers are killing their peers. The most cause of death in teenagers is car accidents, whether its do to reckless driving on their part or on the other driver. We read an article on American Obesity and looked at an info-graphic on obesity. From the article and info-graphic, I learned that children between the age of 6 and 12 intake a large dosage of soda a day and that there are different BMIs for an underweight, normal, and obese person. These blogs and group discussions brought us into the beginning of our new project on “How Come Our Generation Won’t Live As Long As Our Parents Generation?”
